VENTURING ADULT TRAINING VIDEOS!!!There is specific training for adult leaders in the Venturing Program now. These materials speak to the issues that they and youth in their crews face and are different from youth protection training in other programs. The video should be viewed by your professional staff and then by the volunteer leadership in your Venturing program. It should be used in conjunction with the Venturing youth training video.

VENTURING STATEMENT FROM ROBERT K. DELLENBACHThe following quote on Venturing in the LDS Church is taken from a LDS Church/BSA Relationship video, which should be released the summer of 1999. Elder Robert K. Dellenbach states:
A
There is a new program in Scouting called Venturing. The Scouting organization has taken the old Exploring program and completely renovated it, but held onto many of the fine and wonderful attributes it contained.Venturing provides wonderful outdoor activities, high adventure, opportunities to learn about citizenship and sociability. It
=s a great program for priest-age boys in the Church. While the Venturing program is an optional program in the Church, as you look down the training path of a young man, we see in Venturing many attributes and skills which help prepare him for a mission and for life. Therefore, we encourage our priesthood brethren to look very carefully at sponsoring a Venturing crew within their ward or branch.@
